Welcome to the Rotarians on Social Networks Fellowship!
You can connect with other ROSNF members (“Rosnarians”) here in the members area of our site, or you can join our members-only groups on Facebook and LinkedIn.
A variety of discussion groups have been set up, for ROSNF and general topics. You have automatically joined the Member Lounge, Support, and ROSNF Announcements groups, so why not head over to the lounge and introduce yourself? You can also choose any other groups to join, including the ROSNF committees.
Discussions in the groups work in a similar fashion to how they do on Facebook, in that you can either post a comment on its own (like the Facebook Wall), or create a discussion topic in one of the forums if you would like to have a more detailed discussion. Current forum discussions can be viewed via the Forums link.
You can also interact with members one-one-one by visiting their profiles. You can find all ROSNF members through the Members tab, or click on a member’s name to visit their profile. If you click on the Profile link on someone’s profile, you can see which club, district and country they are from, among other things.
Your Profile
If you take a look at the top of this page, you’ll see a black administration bar where you can reach all the areas associated with your account here on ROSNF.
You can also reach your profile by clicking on your name in the top right hand column.
If any of your contact or club details change, you can update it yourself via your profile.
Expand your profile
When you joined, we collected a minimal amount of data about your club affiliation to verify that you fulfilled the membership requirements.
If you would like to provide more details about your Rotary / Rotaract involvement, it is possible to add more detail to your profile.
- Go to your own profile (click on your name, and then click on the Profile link OR from the black admin bar across the top of the page, select “Profile” from the “My Account” down menu)
- Click on the “Edit Profile” link (the second option in the Profile menu on your own profile or in the admin bar)
- Click one of the buttons “ROSNF Positions” or “Rotary Biography” to see more fields to complete (optionally) about your involvement.
Your Photo
You can also change your photo (“Avatar”):
- Go to your profile (either click on your name, or in the menus at the top in the black ”admin bar”, go to My Account –> Profile).
- Click on the ”Profile” link in the grey bar (which says Activity Profile Messages Friends etc)
- Click on the ”Change Avatar” link in the 2nd level menu under Profile
- Browse and upload a photo – but it can’t be too high a resolution or it won’t accept it.
For more help with uploading a photo, see the Avatars discussion
Links
You can also add Links, both personal and Rotary-related, to our Links directory.
There are many places where you can add links:
- directly in the Links directory
- in a discussion group
- in your profile
All links you add appear in both your profile and in the Links directory.
You are encouraged to add links to:
- your personal social network profiles (choose the “Social Network Profile” category)
- your club website and social network pages and groups (choose “Rotary Club” or “Rotaract Club”)
- your district website and social network profiles (choose “Rotary District” or “Rotaract District”)
You can also add links for projects, other RI Fellowships, your Rotary zone, and anything else at all. Feedback is welcome about any other categories you would like that are not there already.
